I wanted to share with you all some insider info about my book series, Secrets on Sundays.. All of the crazy events and experiences in my stories are actually based on my own life, and the characters are real people I've encountered along the way. Of course, to protect their privacy, I changed their names and faces.
Yes, it's true that my ex-husband once hid a loaded gun under my side of the mattress and asked a nurse for an orange popsicle. And, okay, I may have participated in a little something called "log lovin". Oops! I’m getting ahead of myself... This week has been particularly hectic for me as we're getting ready for the next fashion season. Between sketching, designing, and meeting deadlines, I feel like I have no time to breathe. My boss Kate is as tough as Anna Wintour but with a bump-it and cat-eye glasses. Her favorite phrase is, "Get it done. End of discussion." I've been working late into the night and on weekends just to get the new line out. Phoebe, my friend and co-worker, has been stopping by my office to chat, but I can't get distracted from my work. I'm glued to World Runway Online, Fashion News Daily, WGSN, and Vogue, constantly on the hunt for new inspiration.
As much as I love living in the Mountains, sometimes I feel like I need to escape to a bigger city where I can be surrounded by the pulse of fashion. Unfortunately, there is no 5th Avenue or Rodeo Drive in the Mountains. Alexander McQueen, Chloe, and Zimmerman don’t know what they’re missing!
