Summit Sensation

Phoebe has done incredible research figuring out the best restaurant to choose for the Summit Sensation event. Summit Sensation is like a huge wedding reception all down Main Street and it is Phoebe's absolute favorite event in Mountain Town! She called her top three choices and peppered them with questions "What kind of wine do you have? How many bottles per table? White and Red? Rosé? What are your appetizers? Can you have two? And the most important question of all is "What is your dessert? " Phoebe can be pretty neurotic when planning things. And will stress about it until the moment we arrive. We landed on The Blue Basil. They have Rosé, at least 3 glasses each, and you can have two appetizers; the dessert is lavender crème brulé and molten lava cake. And you can have two of those as well. Sold!

My favorite part of the event is having an excuse to get out of our hiking clothes into our favorite dresses. With a backdrop of blue skies and mountain peaks, the cocktail street party begins as the sun sets. All the locals come together, the high school bands entertain the crowds in their jazzy zoot suits, and novice street performers come out to join in on the fun. And this time around, Hot Josh will be joining me.

Hot Josh has been in constant communication since the bike trail incident. I am not sure what turned the corner. Maybe I just looked super-hot with sagebrush in my hair 😊 Whatever it was, it has been a lot of fun getting to know him. I have that weird twist in my stomach every time I speak to him and a perma smile on my face. I haven't felt this way in 15 years and wasn't sure that it was even possible. Boy, did this take me by surprise….
